American Legacy Tour by Shebby Lee Tours

Here in the heart of the Northern Plains, virtually the whole of American History can be traced at a handful of sites visited by some of the most famous people of the last century. The American Legacy program traces that history, from the earliest signs of man in the New World into the modern era.

Beginning on the banks of the Missouri River in Bismarck, ND, this nine-day program includes visits to beautifully restored trading posts, follows the military trails of Custer and Sheridan, revisits the last great gold rush in America, traces a portion of the Oregon Trail, and explores the ranch life of the West's most vigorous advocate, Teddy Roosevelt.

Other highlights include a Missouri Riverboat dinner cruise, Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse mountain carvings, the Oregon Trail landmarks Scotts Bluff and Chimney Rock, the All-American Medora Musical, a jeep ride to one of America’s largest buffalo herds, and optional horseback riding in the scenic Badlands of North Dakota.

Capture the spirit of Lewis & Clark, Custer, Sitting Bull, and Teddy Roosevelt as they strode across the stage of frontier America.
